Wind River Systems - the Embedded Multicore Opportunity

Marc Brown, vice president, VxWorks Product Strategy and Marketing for Wind River Systems, discusses the "Multicore Opportunity." Wind River has led the embedded marketplace with new innovations for their VxWorks real-time operating system (RTOS) Vers.
6.7. VxWorks 6.7 allows system designers to select the optimal multicore design configuration, asymmetric multiprocessing (AMP) or symmetric multiprocessing (SMP), to deliver next-generation devices with higher performance thresholds while maintaining or reducing power consumption.
About Marc Brown:
Marc Brown is vice president, VxWorks Product Strategy and Marketing for Wind River Systems.
In this role, Marc is responsible for overall VxWorks product strategy, business planning, and program execution.
Before joining Wind River, Marc served as VP of Product Marketing and Strategy for Borland Software, responsible for the Application Lifecycle Management solutions.
In addition, Marc held other senior management positions at IBM and Rational, along with technical positions at Motorola and Corning.
Marc has over 18 years of experience in the development and deployment of highly technical mission critical systems.
