Designing safety-critical systems: A Convergence of Technologies
A brief overview of the fields that must be considered when designing safety-critical systems is presented.
Proper application of these fields allows a holistic (dependability achieved at all system levels) approach for designing safety-critical systems.
The fields to be considered are: application domain, embedded systems, protocol and networks, safety and reliability, real-time, and systems engineering.
