The simple Real-Time-Java for the small embedded and consumer devices is a clean room implementation of the Java Virtual Machine that has been specifically designed to run on devices with amount of system memory (from as low as 48KB). In contrast to Sun's KJava, HP's Chai, Transvirtual's Kaffe or Charis' pVM the simpleRTJ requires on average less than 17KB of memory to run.
