Real-time operating system (RTOS) vendors often make claims of 'fast real-time performance,' and 'rapid real-time response,' to convince developers to use their RTOS for a given application.
The implication is that 'faster is better,' and sub-microsecond interrupt response and context switch times are offered as compelling evidence.
