IEEE 802.3 Power over Ethernet Plus Study Group
The work of the IEEE 802.3 Power over Ethernet plus Study Group is now complete with the approval of the Study Group's DTE Power via MDI amendments Project Authorization Request (PAR) at the September 2005 IEEE Standards Board meeting.
Work is now proceeding on the project within the IEEE P802.3at Power over Ethernet plus Task Force.

PowerOverEthernet.com was set up because of the lack of coherent information on IEEE802.3af and we then decided to produce a portal of all things 'Power Over Ethernet'. The growth of the market has proved our observations to be correct and now there are many companies who use POE technology in their products.
The website continued to grow and now includes the next generation higher power version which has been proposed but not yet ratified....
