Embedded TCP/IP an integrating Component
"The maritime industry needs a modular network building block" is an observation which calls for an initiative towards providing a black box denoted as "Embedded TCP/IP". Such a device will enable existing and future embedded controllers / intelligent data acquisition systems to integrate with existing computers connected by means of a network harnessed by the TCP/IP standard.

Full TCP/IP for 8-Bit Architectures
We describe two small and portable TCP/IP implemen-tations fulfilling the subset of RFC1122 requirements needed for full host-to-host interoperability. Our TCP/IP implementations do not sacrifice any of TCP’s mecha-nisms such as urgent data or congestion control. They support IP fragment reassembly and the number of mul-tiple simultaneous connections is limited only by the available RAM.

Interfacing RS232 instruments to a TCP/IP network
Most modern electronic instruments (balances, electrochemistry meters, spectrometers, spectrophotometers, measuring instruments, bar code scanners, etc.) are designed to interface to a computer using a standard RS232 serial cable connection.

The ABCs of IP (Internet Protocol)
network or between networks. Protocol stacks such as TCP/IP or SPX/IPX provide that functionality and without them Ethernet would be useless. With the immense interest in the Internet and the potential of attaching control networks to the Internet, the protocol stack of choice is TCP/IP because it provides the foundation for the Internet. This article addresses issues related to the IP portion of the TCP/IP stack as it applies to control networks.

Express Logic - RTOS, TCP/IP, USB Stack, File System, GUI

NetX® and NetX Duo are Express Logic's high-performance implementation of IPv4 and IPv6 TCP/IP protocol standards. Both are fully integrated with the ThreadX® RTOS (real-time operating system) and are available for all supported processors. NetX and NetX Duo have a unique Piconet™ architecture. Combined with a zero-copy API, it makes them a perfect fit for today's deeply embedded applications that require network connectivity.
