Communication Security in Wireless Sensor Networks
A wireless sensor network (WSN) usually consists of a large number of small, low-cost devices that have limited energy supply, computation, memory, and communication capacities.
Recently, WSNs have drawn a lot of attention due to their broad applications in both military and civilian domains.
Communication security is essential to the success of WSN applications, especially for those mission-critical applications working in unattended and...

Cooperating Embedded Systems and Wireless Sensor Networks
A number of different system concepts have become apparent in the broader context of embedded systems over the past few years.
Whilst there are some differences between these, this book argues that in fact there is much they share in common, particularly the important notions of control, heterogenity, wireless communication, dynamics/ad hoc nature and cost.
The first part of the book covers cooperating object applications and the currently...

Industrial Process Sensors
As manufacturing processes become increasingly complex, industry must rely on advanced sensor technology and process control to improve efficiency and product quality.
Processes now need a variety of on-line measurements, such as film thickness, particle size, solids concentrations, and contamination detection.
Industrial Process Sensors provides a coherent review of the physical principles, design, and implementation of a wide variety of...

Intelligent Sensor Design Using the Microchip dsPIC
This is an Excellent Book for the dsPIC Enthusiast Interested in Intelligent Sensor Design.
The book really does deserve 5 stars.
The reason I rated the book 4 stars is that there are a few errors that, once corrected will go a long way to a 5 star rating.
I sometimes get frustrated with an author that makes errors.
This book is not riddled with errors like some I've read.
In this case, the errors are forgivable as it is obvious that...

Intelligent Sensor Design Using the Microchip dsPIC (Embedded Technology)
The use of intelligent sensors that not only measure parameters but also enhance and/or interpret those measurements is spreading rapidly across all industries.
A new class of embedded computing element, the digital signal controller, is proving to be an optimal way of adding intelligence to such sensors because it combines the best features of both microcontrollers and digital signal processors.
