In my copious free time (ha!), I like to work on small embedded system projects. Sometimes I use parts from the Motorola 68HC11 or 68000 families, or the Intel 8051 family, but many times I find that the Microchip PIC family of single-chip microcomputers offers the most cost-effective solution.
