ARMphetamine
Project to create a fast and accurate ARM processor emulator.
A technique known as 'dynamic recompilation' will be used so that the highest possible speed can be achieved for emulated code - ARM code programs are translated into native code as they are being emulated.
The current development platform is Linux/x86. It is possible to configure ARMphetamine at compile time to support different processor revisions and hardware models.

GNU ARM Toolchain
Welcome! In this page you will find a pre-compiled binary distribution for the (hopefully) latest GNU ARM/Newlib toolchain for CygWin, Linux and MacOS.
The toolchain consists of the GNU binutils, compiler set (GCC) and debugger (Insight for Windows and Linux, GDB only for MacOS). Newlib is used for the C library.
The toolchain includes the C and C++ compilers.

ARM @ Wikipedia
The ARM architecture (previously, the Advanced RISC Machine, and prior to that Acorn RISC Machine) is a 32-bit RISC processor architecture developed by ARM Limited that is widely used in a number of embedded designs.
Because of their power saving features, ARM CPUs are dominant in the mobile electronics market, where low power consumption is a critical design goal.
Today, the ARM family accounts for approximately 75% of all embedded...

ARM microcontroller Wiki
ARM has made their elegant 32-bit RISC processor core available for licencing to chip manufacturers, who have used it to produce a wide range of very cost effective microcontrollers, packed with lots of peripherals and generally requiring quite simple support circuitry to run. Easy to use, not demanding much space or power, affordable, and bursting with processing power and storage capacity, they seem set to become a popular device in many...

The ARM Instruction Set
Processor Modes * The ARM has six operating modes: User (unprivileged mode under which most tasks run) FIQ (entered when a high priority (fast) interrupt is raised) IRQ (entered when a low priority (normal) interrupt is raised) Supervisor (entered on reset and when a Software Interrupt instruction is executed) Abort (used to handle memory access violations) Undef (used to handle undefined instructions) * ARM Architecture...
