ARM Assembly Language Programming
This page is the portal to a web-based version of my 1987 book, ARM Assembly Language Programming (AALP). For this first release, I'm just making the original files and various conversions of the book available on this site, the most useful one probably being the HTML linked to above. (I generated the PDF from IE5.5's rendering of the HTML because NS6 didn't seem to agree with some of the whitespace that GoLive embeds.

Debug of ARM based systems using EmbeddedICE
Owing to the enormous popularity of the ARM cores, with 77 licensees shipping over 420 million ARM powered devices in 2001, the ARM on-chip debug facilities merit closer examination.
This paper looks at the run-time control debug features provided ARM cores.
ARM have also developed a core extension called the Embedded Trace Macrocell (ETM) which provides for the provision of compressed program and data trace information via a narrow port.

Evaluation and Benchmark Testing: Freescale Semiconductor i.MX21 Processor
Synchromesh Computing conducted benchmark tests on the Freescale Semiconductor i.MX21 processor.
Performance of the i.MX21 was compared with the Intel PXA 255 and the Texas Instruments OMAP 1611 through several standard benchmarks.
The i.MX21 measures up well to its competition with some distinct, real advantages.
