FFT Online Tutorial
The FFT Interactive Tutorial is a self-paced, multimedia-based technical tutorial designed to help you understand the fundamentals of frequency-domain measurements.
Online tutorials contain audio, video, quizzes, and links for a full interactive experience.
This tutorial teaches you about the fast Fourier transform (FFT) in addition to some derived measurements, such as the power spectrum and power spectral density.

Discrete Fourier Transform and the FFT
The Fourier Transform provides the means of transforming a signal defined in the time domain into one defined in the frequency domain (see Tutorial 2 on time and frequency representation). When a function is evaluated by numerical procedures, it is always necessary to sample it in some fashion (refer to Tutorial 3 on Sampling and Aliasing).

Fast Fourier Transform
Use this technical tutorial to help you understand the fundamentals of frequency-domain measurements.
Specifically, we discuss the fast Fourier transform (FFT) in addition to some derived measurements, such as the power spectrum and power spectral density.
You learn how you can use National Instruments LabVIEW for making these frequency measurements.

Fast Fourier Transform Tutorial
Before reading this section it is assumed that you have already covered some basic Fourier theory.
Although not a pre-requisite it IS advisable to have covered the Discrete Fourier Transform in the previous section.
This section covers the Fast Fourier Transform and it's applications.
At the end of this tutorial it is expected that you will be able to: * Understand the frequency domain and some of it's uses. * Understand the Fourier...

Fourier Theory
In order to fully comprehend the DCT will do a basic study of the Fourier theory and the Fourier transform first.
Whilst the DCT is ultimately used in multimedia compression it is easier to perhaps comprehend how such compression methods work by studying Fourier theory, from which the DCT is actually derived.
